Episode 117~ Of Commutes & Quilts

Well, the title says it all. I’ve had a hard time recovering all the items I brought down this fall during my long stint at my parents. And yes, I’ve put ALL of those items already in my car for the commute home on Thursday! My mum joins me on this episode to talk about her cross stitching and wreak general havoc ๐Ÿ˜‰ I revisit Manchelopi and my knitting projects and share a new book in my library. I hope wherever you are in the world you’re in good spirits. Many thanks for those that contribute financially through Patreon. Blessings,

Sarah

  1. Well, that was jam packed as they say ๐Ÿ™‚ All of your fabrics with the woodland animals make me want to go buy fabric! That Windsor chair of your mother’s is just THE best piece of work I have seen in a long time. Paint with Thread is a book I will look into. Am knitting/weaving and baking so I do these things in my heid at night when I am not sleeping. And it doesn’t translate to the real world! Thank you for the post and I love Manchego cheese.

  2. Thanks, Sarah, for another lovely episode. Lots of great things going on! So lovely to “meet” your mother and see her work. As for the Manchelopi – oh, my – that set my little heart to fluttering. ๐Ÿ™‚ I might just have to come up with a reason to knit with some very warm wool! The Romney-Shetland blend you spoke of had me nodding in agreement: this is a lovely blend to spin – a great hand and lots of sproing from the crimp in the Romney. Try it! You’ll love it.
