The Elevenses Backpack, Rhinebeck, Knitting & A New Name

Well, I finally did it. I’ve long been contemplating a name change as my vlog has shifted and changed over the past few years. I explain the name and its origins which has a call back to my beloved Orkney but theres also some Tolkien thrown in there too. No surprise! I also chat about my elevenses progress as well as Rhinebeck plans. There’s a little bit of knitting…but more to come in the studio vlog forthcoming. I hope this finds you well and in good spirits.

  1. It was great meeting you at Rhinebeck on Sunday! Thank you for the lovely kits you put together for Sarah Bauer. I’m loved making mine and was filled with quiet contemplation during the process. What a meaningful tribute for someone so special. I enjoyed knitting the Reliquary I went straight on to make another using my own hand spun yarn. I feel there will be many more in my future. With much gratitude for the inspiration you provide sharing your creative processes.

  2. I applaud your new name. Speaking with a friend I was bemoaning the fact they were cutting down hundreds of 150 ft old trees to widen the highway. When I first saw it, felt like a punch in my gut. she said, a tree? meh, she grew up on the Palouse with wheat fields and and I looked at her and said………TREES, they are my sisters!! she looked at me like I was totally daft. haha This is late but hope you had fun at Rheinbeck and the Reliquary kits are brilliant. Me I give up trying to get password for the blog…sorry, it’s just me.

    Thistle be a beautiful day!
While there is tea there is hope!
