Episode 165~Swiss Yarn Festival, Italy & Knitting

It’s good to be back home on the lake in the woods. I cherish the memories from my recent trip abroad to Switzerland and Italy. We all had such great laughs and experienced some profound places and art. I’m grateful I got to do it with my mum. But I’m so thankful to be home.

Episode 164~Japanese Taupe Fabrics & Knitting

I’m feeling a little untethered these days. I think it is a combination of work, the weather and the upcoming international trip I have planned. But ho hum…I’m riding the wave and hoping the vlog can provide a thread of continuity. You’ll probably notice that this episode is a little different as I didn’t edit an intro. I was wondering if this would make the process easier for me and lift a barrier to get started. I’m still playing with format so we’ll see where we land.

Episode 162~A Festival, The Bilbo Vest & Knitting

This is going to be Fiber Trek week! I made it to vacation and am taking advantage of my time at home to really ramp up many projects. At least that’s my hope. My bother, niece, nephew and my mum arrived for four days of winter fun and ice fishing.

In this episode I revisit my Bilbo vest from Thread and Yarn, share about my adventure to the New England Farm and Fiber Festival and update my knitting projects. There will be no surprises here 😉

I hope this finds you well and in good spirits!

Episode 161~New Books & Knitting

Hello,

It’s the end of January, how is that possible? This, of course, means I am that much closer to February vacation! That’s going to be fun as my brother, nephew and niece are coming for an ice fishing adventure…but that’s a story for February. On this episode, I finish up my books, highlight a new book on art journaling in my library and there’s knitting.

Episode 160~Book Binding & Wiola Designs KAL

I admit KALs are challenging to me. But these designs were so beautiful I thought knitting together would be a way to see if this framework could evolve from what it used to be to something different than my past experience. I chat about the details in the knitting segment on this episode.

You’ll notice that there is some different footage in this episode as I finally got a drone. The market took a long time to develop exactly what I wanted in a price range that made sense for my skills ;). I’m having fun expanding out the stories that can be told in my life using this new tool. I’ve only crashed it twice!

Episode 159~In Conversation with Sofia Karlsson

Hello!

I had grand plans for this episode but some technical difficulty got in the way. I’m spending some time over the new year to rethink my format and how to be more efficient with my time and still get the imagery I want. All that to say, I’m so thrilled my friend Sofia agreed to chat with me over zoom about her new book. While I really wish I could’ve traveled to Sweden for this chat, I didn’t want to wait. A very happy new year!

Episode 156~Quilting, Nature Journaling, Knitting|Should we do a Wiola Designs KAL?

Jeepers, October has really sent the plague after me! I battled another round of cold symptoms and I’m happy to report I’ve won and am on the mend. Between that and looking after my brother’s family for a week not much knitting was done. I did have some finishes though when it comes to quilting . And I was greatly inspired by last week’s wildlife video to embark on a nature journaling attempt.

I’m afraid the knitting hasn’t changed much;) Thank you as always for tuning in!
