Episode 140~

Hi! Hi!

I feel like my life has a little Where’s Waldo overtones to it these days :).  In this episode, I cut a new quilt out. Wild abandon may be to a strong a sentiment to describe the process but I did cast a bunch of projects to the side to get on with it.  I also wild abandon it up with my knitting dreams seeing as I finished Maddie’s sweater and the sleeve of another.  I’m getting ready for a long winter’s nap of a vacation..well kinda..my brother’s family is joining us for part of it but I can already feel my commuting cares slip away and I welcome the respite.

Episode 138~

Hello and Happy New Year!  I’ll go straight to the point…there’s no new knitting on this edition.  But I tackle my “to do bins”, experiment with a new kitchen tool, and thumb through a recent book.  There’s also some quilt discussion and musing on time management.

Turning of the Year~II

Well, this was an interesting few days!  Maine had a huge wind/rain storm which I drove down from Millinocket in to be able to go to work.  IT knocked out power and caused significant flooding. It also caused school to be cancelled for two days! It also knocked out internet. But luckily, my brother’s house retained access!  So it’s been quite an adventure of late.  If you’ve left a comment. I will get back to you soon once the internet is restored.

On this edition, I get out the gel plate, dark chocolate and update my progress on the sweater for my niece.

Turning of the Year~1

Hello!  Phew..what a whirlwind this first week has been. It didn’t help I left my camera equipment South when I went North! Also, I’ve been tending to my mum after her knee surgery.  She is in good spirits and healing well.  I hope you enjoy this first glimpse into our December traditions.  I’ll see you soon!

Episode 137~Jaggerspun Mill, Cabin Adventure & Knitting

20 plus years ago I cast on a shawl in Jaggespun Zephyr silk which is a 50% wool and 50% silk blend.  From..you guessed it!  Folk Shawls by Cheryl Oberle.  In this episode we’re headed back to my roots with a visit Jaggerspun Mill which is located in southern Maine just a ways down the interstate for my parents house.

Then we are going to head North to the cabin with my niece for a little adventure and review of the trail cameras!

There is knitting.. In fact, there is a finished item. ;).

Episode 134~Steady Settle

Hello!

It’s spinning and knitting on this edition…egad! And crocheting! Yes, I finally put some time in to learning how to make a granny sqaure. It only took 25+ years ;).  I’m finally starting to settling in to my routine and feeling steadier for it. Not much has changed on the knitting front although I’ve finally landed on a yarn and a pattern for my niece Annie.
