Episode 117~ Of Commutes & Quilts

Well, the title says it all. I’ve had a hard time recovering all the items I brought down this fall during my long stint at my parents. And yes, I’ve put ALL of those items already in my car for the commute home on Thursday! My mum joins me on this episode to talk about her cross stitching and wreak general havoc 😉 I revisit Manchelopi and my knitting projects and share a new book in my library. I hope wherever you are in the world you’re in good spirits. Many thanks for those that contribute financially through Patreon. Blessings,

Sarah

Episode~116 Calm Seas…I thought

Hello All,

Well, it didn’t go as planned. You’ll see if you make it to the end where I make a rather bumbling appearance to explain the abrupt interruption to the regularly scheduled format. Alas, it’s a little problem. You’ll just have to wait till next time to hear about my quilting plans and see the new books I acquired. If you’ve been following my instagram account you’ll know my copy of Sark from Kate Davies arrived. I’ve also signed up for her All Over Club. Are you wondering if your predictions about my progress on the Stephen West MKAL came true? Luckily, that did make it into the clip I imported on to the computer and didn’t leave on the camera. Yup…where’s the camera you might wonder? Uh, it’s at my house up north and where am I? Uh, I’m at my parent’s in the south. RATS! As always, thank you for tuning in. See you soon.

Episode 115~Leaning In

Hello,

September was a strange and challenging month. I am so thankful for my creative curiosity during these moments. I am also grateful for you all who spend some time tuning in and investing in this project. I’d be lying if I wasn’t longing for those slow, summer days.

“Leaning in” seems in appropriate sentiment at this time and I want to acknowledge that I am leaning in to my blessings to support others experiencing the uncertainty life brings. A wise friend of mine once told me “worry is just wasted prayer” so I’ll be making time for a few prayers as this month comes to a close.

Episode 114~The Waxing Way

Hello!

What an incredible start to the new school year! It’s been absolutely mad getting back into the swing go things but somehow when I get home to the North, all that energy I thought I’d lost finds its way to the surface…literally…as you’ll see! In this episode I experiment with some botanical printing and then utilize those prints in encaustic collage pieces. A great way to spend a Saturday in September in the sun. I have finished sweater and continue to dream about all the woolly possibilities to come. Thank you for supporting the project. I hope you find something of value here. Many blessings, Sarah

Episode 113~Sew & Saw

Hello!

Alas, it is the end of the August and so begins the school year. I have so many more endeavors and experiments I want to pursue. Gone are the long languid days of summer in the studio. I am excited to see my students again but I’ll miss the spontaneity of being at the house and access to all my supplies. Rob and I we’re back at the cabin for a few days and had the pleasure of seeing some neat wildlife. I didn’t bring my good camera hence the rather shoddy footage but there were moose and beaver, great blue herons, kingfishers and lots of common loons.

Thank you for tuning in and for those that contribute financially, thank you.

Episode 112~Done & Done

Hello! Yes, yes…there is still a lot of fabric play going on around here. But, ho! ho! I have a finished sweater. As always, thank you for tuning in and a special heartfelt thank you for those that contribute financially through Patreon. A quick note, I will be uploading to YouTube the evening of (7/30) as internet communications is slow. Thank you for your flexibility.

Episode 111~At the Surface

Hello friends! Don’t mind the sound…I was at my parents without my normal equipment. Ai! There is always something to pack. I’ve been south caring for my mum after surgery so this episode might reflect a bit more of my fringe self. Things are going a bit crazy at the studio with all the possibilities. Will I try to rein it in? I don’t think so. More to come, and if you’re a Patron..hold on to your hat! I will be uploading some bonus content which I hope includes my Mum! As always, a heartfelt thank you to those that invest financially. I hope you enjoy!
